gena + brian • july 15 2006

boy it was a hot one this weekend! it felt hot enough, but only afterwards did i find out that it actually got up to 99º!! wow! now i love the summer, but luckily for us, the wedding and reception were both indoors in cool, air conditioned comfort. :) but gena and brian were amazing as they were totally game for doing as much outdoor shooting as we needed and we got some really fun stuff! check it out!

wendy + darrin • engaged to be married, october 14 2006

just on wednesday this week we shot this engagement session in st. paul. lets just say that wendy and darrin have an especially close connection to the city, so it was perfect to spend some time photographing around their neighborhood off of selby avenue. it was a little humid out but we had a great time, and luckily we didn’t get run over. :)

live from KC!!

ok, not quite live i guess… but close! to celebrate our 5th anniversary last week, my wife Kim and i decided to take a little vacation. to be honest, we take vacations quite rarely, but we decided to get away for a few days around the 4th of july. kim and i are pretty big twins fans so we decided to take a little road trip down to kansas city to see the twins play a 3 game series against the royals. thanks to the royals poor performance over the last several years, good tickets to royals games are very easy to come by, and not to mention about half the price of a comparable ticket at the dome!

while we were in kansas city we had some beautiful weather and had a great chance to relax and see the sights. we went to the negro leagues baseball museum which was really amazing! we also made sure to catch some of the delicious bbq that kansas city has to offer. verrryy good stuff.

we also took a drive to the Powell Gardens that are just outside of kansas city. they’re absolutely gorgeous and very relaxing. some amazing flowers and foliage.

one day we decided to play a little mini golf too….

while at the baseball games we were also treated to fireworks after the game at kauffman stadium.

i know the photos aren’t much, but when i go on vacation i don’t like to bring my pro equipment with me. so these shots are just with my little Fuji Finepix F11 (a japanese version of the F10). you can really get fantastic results from good point-n-shoot cameras when you read the manual. ;)
