susan + jason * engaged to be married

later this week we did sort of last minute engagement session for susan & jason. last minute in the sense because they’re actually getting married in oh.. about a week from now. :) but we were able to fit it in now problem. they thought they wanted to do something very different so we came up with the idea to try out a junk yard! more specifically, and auto junkyard. so we found a good one and had a go at it! besides being one of the dirtiest places i’ve photographed before, it was pretty cool! here are a few good one:

alysia + nicholas * engaged to be married

well, just a few engagement sessions left before all the leaves are gone. this last week we went to the beautiful minnesota landscape arboretum. i’m a little ashamed to admit its actually my first time there, but OH what place! it was a virtual autumn explosion of color! just an amazing place this time of year that i’m looking forward to going back for sure. hope you enjoy a few faves from the day!

jenn + tony * october 13 2007

well i was lucky enough to return to the landmark center in st. paul for my second wedding there in two weeks time! monica & ryan had their reception there just two weeks prior. now jenn & tony however were having both their wedding and their reception there this time. the landmark center is such a beautiful venue and we really captured some amazing stuff.

one of the most memorable parts of the wedding was when tony had a little surprise for jenn. at one point in the service, he sang “come what may” from Moulin Rouge. very cool stuff. i love it when brides and grooms sing during the ceremony. :) well.. its partially selfish reasons, i just love it when people start balling and i get to photograph it. :) but i give jenn credit, she held it together pretty well and just let out a few tears.

simone + brian * october 6, 2007

10.18.2007 – 6:43 pm

october 6th was one of those, you know, “typical” october saturdays in minnesota. you know the kind…. sunny… 90 degrees…. very humid… oh yeah. up in the twin cities i heard it got up to about 85, but we were just a little ways south, down in winona for simone and brian’s wedding and i think it got up to about 90 that day. but we were still having a good time. :)

funny story… brian’s actually a really really big cubs fan, and you may not remember but the cubs were playing game 3 of the NLDS against the diamondbacks that very day! suffice to say, there weren’t any TV’s on at the reception, and that was probably a good thing because at the same time the reception was going on, the cubs were eliminated from the playoffs. well, as they say, there’s always next year! :) i suppose that goes for the twins too….

stacey + mitch * engaged to be married

the last engagement session of the week was stacey & mitch, back down again at irvine park. but instead of it being super warm and humid it was rather cool and so at the time it was mitch’s job to keep stacey warm. :) i think he did ok. see, stacey & mitch currently live down in florida so anything below 60 is downright frigid. :) here are a few good ones!
