october 6th was one of those, you know, “typical” october saturdays in minnesota. you know the kind…. sunny… 90 degrees…. very humid… oh yeah. up in the twin cities i heard it got up to about 85, but we were just a little ways south, down in winona for simone and brian’s wedding and i think it got up to about 90 that day. but we were still having a good time. 
funny story… brian’s actually a really really big cubs fan, and you may not remember but the cubs were playing game 3 of the NLDS against the diamondbacks that very day! suffice to say, there weren’t any TV’s on at the reception, and that was probably a good thing because at the same time the reception was going on, the cubs were eliminated from the playoffs. well, as they say, there’s always next year! i suppose that goes for the twins too….
