on new years eve i photographed kadi and justin’s wedding at the millenium hotel in downtown minneapolis (and BOY did they have a smokin’ new years eve party going on down on the first floor!). the millenium hotel actually has a special place in history for me because it was the hotel where my parents stayed at for their honemoon back in 1968. back then i believe it was a holiday inn, but its always had the distinctive dome on the top floor. what a beautiful place for a wedding!!
i had a fantastic new years eve weekend and was lucky enough to shoot a couple weddings as well. the first one was nicole & ryan’s wedding at the mcnamara alumni center at the U of M. i’ve shot several weddings there but its always nice to go back. like most of my couples are used to, we just had to go outside for a few shots. we were right near downtown and i wanted to try something just a different so we went over to the hennepin/1st ave bridge for some nighttime shots.
