a couple days ago i met darcy & mike downtown for their engagement shoot. we had a good time! it was fun getting to know them a little better and hearing about how their wedding is coming along, up in the great north woods.

kirsten + darrin • engaged to be married

one of my big new plans for the year is to photograph more couples at night, preferably in the city, and take advantage of only the natural light from the city. kirsten & darrin’s engagement session is a prime example of that, shooting right downtown on and off of 1st avenue. simply put, we had an awesome time and i’m definitely going to do more shoots like this one!

emily + chad • engaged to be married

emily & chad are a SUPER fun couple and their story of how they met when they were working in here in the twin cities was very cute. they currently live in texas but since they grew up in minnesota & iowa, they decided to have their wedding here in st. paul. for their engagement session we thought we’d see some sights near downtown st. paul on raspberry island and the wabasha street bridge. check out a few faves!

bri + mike • engaged to be married

every once and a while i get some couples who are feeling a little more adventurous. andrea & kristian were totally game like that and now in late january, bri & mike definitely were too! we decided to do their engagement session downtown by the hennepin & 1st ave bridge. needless to say it was a very cold day, but we had a great time none the less. :)

andrea + kristian • engaged to be married

yes, this is in fact the first client i’ve ever had who shared the same first name as myself. :) so for andrea & kristian’s engagement session, we decided to do a nighttime shoot. we started out at the jetset bar downtown and then went for a little walk outside. have a look!
