emily & chad had their wedding at the always lovely minnesota history center in saint paul. they really do an excellent job there and the view overlooking the capital building. one thing i found very very cool about their wedding was their cake topper. now normally i’m not a huge cake topper kind of guy, but they had their cake topper custom made in the image of them! it was SOOO COOL!! check it out!
danielle & mark were married in st. paul with their wedding at a lovely church not too far from the st. thomas campus and then had their reception in downtown saint paul at the landmark center, which is always a great spot for receptions. before the wedding we stopped at a great little park in saint paul that i frequent to grab some good shots of the two of them and their wedding party.
with the wedding just the day before the 4th of july, they even handed out sparklers to the guests! although whatever you do, make sure not to light them with table candles inside the landmark center… they tend to frown on that sort of thing. 
you know i love ethnic weddings, and even though amy & samir’s wedding wasn’t ethnic, with samir’s family being from india, they still wanted to put include some of the indian traditions. if there’s one thing i love about indian weddings its all of the AMAZING COLORS! amy and samir did just that with the colored shawls that the bridesmaids wore. beautiful!!
so in less than a month’s time, this was my second wedding at calhoun beach club, but this time we really had fabulous weather for the wedding which was held on the terrace overlooking lake calhoun. before the ceremony itself we took a short drive over to lake harriet as well for some fun shots of them and the wedding party too.
this wedding was also particularly fun because i actually went to college with amy’s older sister, so it was neat to see her again and also see some old friends from college too!
just the day after kate & jon’s wedding (which was a very lovely day outside), i photographed sara & william’s wedding at calhoun beach club by lake calhoun, but this time the weather was not so nice. in fact it rained the whole day, but luckily we were planning on staying indoors the whole time. sara & william’s wedding was put together by the fabulous gals at mimi design. i’ve been working with amy and amy there for years and they always do top notch weddings!
just like my last couple, kate and jon are also huge twins fans! just last fall we did their engagement shoot at the dome just before a twins game. so it was neat that at their wedding they had some twins and baseball flare to it too, including reception dinner tables named after former twins baseball greats like kirby puckett, kent hrbek, bert blyleven and jack morris. they also rented a double decker bus for their ride from the wedding to the reception and i’m told it may have been the exact same bus that justin morneau rented for his wedding too!
